Meet Your Fort Lauderdale Physical Therapy Team

lissa is a Board Certified Physical Therapist Assistant and earned her degree from Keiser University in 2021. She also received her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2018 in Health Science/Health Care Administration. Alissa has experience working with orthopedic patients; both post-op and chronic conditions, neurological patients with gait and balance issues, and children with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, and torticollis. She grew up playing sports her whole life so she knew firsthand what it was like to be an injured individual on the sidelines of life being held back by an injury and wanting to get back on the field. The feeling of being that person that is by a patient’s side and helping them step-by-step along the way to getting “back onto their field of life” is what drove her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Outside of being a PTA in her spare time, she enjoys going to new outdoor places with her dog, supporting her favorite sports teams, spending time with family, and crushing some mini golf. Alissa plans to further her skills and “add more tools to her toolbox” as her years come in the field. She has a great interest in kinesiotaping, Graston work, and learning new manual skills.
